Explore Albuquerque Real Estate

From affordable starter homes to large, luxury estates, the Albuquerque real estate market offers a diverse selection of properties at a range of price points. And, much like the city itself, homes in Albuquerque encompass a range of styles, from traditional to modern.

When it comes to property types available on the market, Albuquerque continues to present a substantial range, although the majority of properties for sale are single-family homes. There are also a number of townhomes and condos for sale (some of which are industrial in style and are, as a result, quite sought-after). In any case, detached homes in the city appeal to a number of different homebuyers, with charming neighborhoods that each have their own unique qualities.

Homes for sale in Albuquerque include historic and new construction homes. The city’s historic districts, such as Old Town and Nob Hill, are where homebuyers can find older properties. Well-maintained, these homes’ historic features have often been preserved, especially in regards to the Pueblo style houses. Of course, price depends on a number of factors, and these properties could be the perfect investment opportunity for a savvy buyer. Some of these homes have construction dates between 1930 and 1940—which makes them very desirable to own.

Architecturally, homebuyers can find ranches and bungalows as often as multi-family homes. In general, new construction homes tend to be the latter. New developments, such as Northeast Heights, provide new buyers with the excellent opportunity to own a brand new property, whilst also being located in a beautiful and convenient area. With multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, new homes for sale are generally around 2,500 to 3,2000 square feet—an excellent option for families.

Of course, while there are numerous affordable homes on the market, the city also offers luxury homes for interested buyers. Luxury neighborhoods, such as North Albuquerque Acres and Far Northeast Heights, feature gorgeous (often custom built) homes. As well, these private neighborhoods are located away from the downtown, with exceptional views, and are part of some of the top school districts in the city.

Albuquerque: Top Highlights & Attractions

There is so much to discover in the city of Albuquerque. Its charming history, great amenities, and multitude of activities (both outdoor and indoor) attract many prospective homebuyers to the area. Plus, the city is also recognized for its events and festivals, including Summerfest (an annual music festival with multiple dates and locations), Lantern Fest, the Dragon Lights Festival, and (of course!) the famous International Balloon Fiesta.

A family-friendly city, there are many attractions that will appeal to those of all ages. The downtown itself is home to the following highlights: the Old Town Plaza (a landmark park), the Albuquerque Museum, the Explora Science Center and Children's Museum of Albuquerque, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science and Planetarium, the ABQ BioPark Aquarium and Botanical Gardens, the ABQ BioPark Zoo, Cliff's Amusement Park, the Albuquerque Convention Center, the Kimo Theatre, the Albuquerque Little Theatre, and so much more.

Albuquerque is also home to the The University of New Mexico campus, conveniently located close to the downtown. Residents also enjoy the parks, trails, and other outdoor recreational opportunities around the city. Rio Grande Nature Center State Park and Tingley Beach are located on the riverfront, whilst the east end of the city has countless hiking trails that weave throughout the mountainside. Albuquerque is an incredible city for golf enthusiasts, avid skiers, passionate cyclists, and even the casual dog-walker.
